Meet Zerrin Kostem

Zerrin was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. At the age of five , she attended Istanbul Municipal Conservatory and studied with professor Verda Ün. She continued her music education at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory.

Zerrin teaches a diverse selection of musical styles to each student. Her approach to teaching is to first understand every student’s interest in playing piano. This enables her to elevate her students’ interest in piano and the music they are learning to play.

For over 30 years, Zerrin has taught lessons that include piano technique, music theory, sight reading, ear training and performance auditions. With the depth of her experience she has developed a wide range of learning techniques that keeps her students engaged while enjoying the journey of learning to play.
